Introducing the Brickstuff Premium Light and Sound Kit for the LEGO Creator Ecto-1 (#10274)
Now Accepting Pre-Orders for Batch #24!
Kits Are Expected to Begin Shipping at the end of May 2023
LEGO blew us away when they released their amazing large-scale Ecto-1 set in late 2020. Even before we picked it up, we knew we had to make something special for this set.
Something you couldn't buy anywhere else. Something that could become as legendary as the Ecto-1 itself. After five months of development, we're thrilled to share our creation with you. |
Cool, but this is just the beginning.
Effects, Sounds, and Awesome.
There are plenty of light kits out there. But none of them have the features you'll find in this kit.
We know you want your Ecto-1 to be a showpiece. |
Packed with Features
Here's a list of some of the features that make this a true one-of-a-kind kit.
LED Lights. Lots of LED Lights.
Last time we counted, there were almost 100 LED lights packed into this kit. There are 64 LED lights in the two roof lightbars alone!
Along with the lights, we added the most realistic effects.

Two Sound Modules, Four Sounds At Once.
Other kits claim to have sound effects, but none work like ours. We give you two separate sound modules with this kit. One can play three sounds at the same time-- no other kit offers that. Why three sounds? Because we have a forever-looping engine sound sampled from a genuine 1960s Cadillac ambulance, and you want to have that play at the same time the famous Ecto-1 siren is blaring.
We even added sounds for opening and closing of the car doors-- also from a vintage Caddy! Check it out here. The second sound module lets you add up to four minutes of your own sounds and music, then play them back using the included remote control. Copy any MP3 files onto the sound module-- the Ghostbusters theme song, your favorite movie quotes-- anything! |
Maximum Playability.
The last thing you want to do is clutter the inside of your Ecto-1 with wires and adapter boards. We designed this kit from the ground up so most of the techie bits would be hidden, so you can still use all of the features of your Ecto-1.
Check out the photos of the interior to see what we mean. All of the lights mount easily and we provide parts along with our kit to help you keep the wires out of the way. We also give you options for powering the Ecto-1:

A Motor for the Roof Gear.
It's great that LEGO® provided a mechanism for moving the roof scanning equipment, but the original design requires you to move your Ecto-1 to get the gear moving. What if you want to display your Ecto-1 in a case but still be able to have the roof gear rotate?
We've got you covered. Included with your kit is a nifty little red gear motor that integrates seamlessly with the LEGO® system to replace the wheel-driven rotation mechanism. Just swap a few parts (everything you need is included) and you've got on-demand ghost scanning! Here's a quick demo of the motor in action. |
A Big Remote. More Buttons = Good.
This kit just had too many features to be controlled with our standard 4-button radio-frequency (RF) remote, so we went and found a bigger remote with twice the buttons!
Your kit includes this remote, which operates using radio frequency so you don't need line-of-sight to your Ecto-1 to control its functions. Put it on a shelf, in a case, or in the next room. It doesn't matter-- you can still control its functions with the remote. The remote is locked to its receiver, so you won't get interference from anyone else-- even if you and your friend both have Ecto-1 kits, you can use both in the same room or at the same show. Most other kits use an infrared remote, which requires that you point it at close range to operate. And don't get us started about interference with all the other infrared remotes you already have in your house! |
All of these features, plus many more, make this the most feature-packed kit we've ever offered. We hope you agree it takes your Ecto-1 to the next level. If you're still not convinced, we made this comprehensive demo video that shows many of the features in action:
